Company Profile

Stealth Therapeutics was founded in January 2006 to commerialize a technology derived from the clinical practice of Stealth's founder, Brad Glenn, M.D., an interventional radiologist.

Stealth's first product is Invisiport, a drug delivery device. Invisiport is used to help deliver drugs, such as chemotherapy drugs, to humans intravenously. Instead of delivering chemotherapy directly into a patient's vein, a port attached to a long catheter is placed below the skin of a patient and the drug is then administered to the patient via the port.

Chemotherapy drugs are typically administered to patients over a few months. When the chemotherapy treatment is completed, the port is removed from the patient. The Invisiport is implanted in the inside of a patient's upper arm instead of a patient's chest. Typically, ports are implanted in a patient's chest. The patient benefits by having a less visible port (and scar when the port is removed) and a less risky implant procedure, and the physician/health provider benefits from the Invisiport because it takes less time and expense to implant.

The company utilizes outsourced vendors for its product design, manufacturing and administrative functions.
