Company History
NimbleGen Systems Inc. was founded in 1999 by Franco Cerrina, Fred Blattner and Michael Sussman. Over the next decade, NimbleGen raised $54M of venture capital. NimbleGen was acquired by Roche in 2007 for $272.5 million. Roche NimbleGen operates as a unit of Roche Applied Sciences within Roche Diagnostics, one of the two divisions of Hoffmann-La Roche.
