1913: Burdick Cabinet Co. was founded in Milton WI by F.F. (Fritz) Burdick. building electric light baths used for heat therapy. The family owned company was renamed Burdick Corp., and later Burdick Inc.
1983: Burdick was sold to Kone O.Y. a Finnish medical equipment company
1986: Private investor Peter Tong acquired company
1988: Siemens AG purchased Burdick
1993: Management group led by CEO George Messina acquired company
1997: Burdick was purchased by Spacelabs Medical of Redmond WA for $50M
1998: Company relocates business to new 100,000sf facility in Deerfield WI
2003: Quinton Cardiology Systems purchased Burdick from Instrumentarium's Spacelabs Medical business unit for $24M
2005: Quinton merged with Cardiac Science Inc.
